An open letter by a cop to those opposing death penalty to Yakub.

The person who wrote the letter is saying truth, if we fight each other saying Hindu-Muslim, BJP -Congress, then we will be a soft target for ISIS and they get easy to enter our country. Some people are trying to relate the death of Yakub to religion for their own benefit, but they are doing hazard to our country.

Very true. Linking Yakub Memon's hanging to religion is a primitive mind set. And it is also true that internal differences will pave the way for terrorists and other anti social elements to unleash reign of terror. Remember the age old saying, "we stand United.. Divided we fall."

Yakub has been hanged by legal process. Nothing to say about this.  There are several reasons for opposing death sentence.his  . This also includes those who oppose death sentence as such and demand its abolition as has been done in many countries.   

This cop felt that there is a religious link and bias towards a particular community. In this context posed a question. And also he referred all those who opined that the death sentence to be abolished. In this connection i felt your clarification is more convincing.

Amongst all religions of the world it is the Islam religion followers who are involved in maximum acts of violence throughout the globe. It is therefore probabilistically very high chance that persons of Islamic religion will be tried, convicted and awarded death sentence. Only to the uninformed  it would look that there is a bias against the community. Islam is a religion which seems to be still in a state of disequilibrium compared to other religions.

Agreed. It looks as if a there is a bias against Muslims. But the truth is different as you said. It's an undeniable truth there are more cases of violence from the Islam religion followers.
