It is a welcome one to honor the persons who designed our national flag.
A befitting tribute to a freedom fighter and designer.
I like this move to rename this as most of airports are named in the name of political persons, this is a nice gesture as new gen will know about him for sure.

It was long due to give the national flag designer his honour, now he is going to receive it.

I always feel such names should be based on cities and towns only and that always remains most unique too. It is a painful situation the names are changed when the new government comes and rename places based on party concerned. However this is a different case and not disputed.
A fitting tribute to the national flag designer. Long overdue.
It is an admirable move to honor such a great person who made a significant design of our National flag. Such patriots should be honored so that the nation will remember them forever.

As you said, this case is undisputed and nobody did negative the move.

I agree, naming stations etc on the cities and towns creates less confusion and is less discomforting to commuters.

I feel naming a place should never be in political persons names however famous or reputed but on city names only and in rare cases on a personality that has done something outstanding for the humankind.
