Usha, actually China has many religions, Buddhism being one of the most popular religions. Shenism", Taoism and Buddhism are the chief religions in China with respectively 30% of following for each religion.

But irrespective of any kind of religion, China values its heritage and cares for its treasures in at least hundred times better manner than India!

But then can we blame them for that, our leaders turn a blind eye to their and keep extending friendships to them! Anyone will take advantage of a weak spine! :blink: But jokes apart, China has really taken a giant leap and achieved what no others have achieved in many sectors. Pick up any good quality attractive book and you will notice it has been printed in China! :woohoo:

Irrespective of the "Isms", China has a hunger to own a distinction. Goodest, longest, shortest ... the list goes on. And it goes all out to grab a distinction. Of course, this hunger paid them rich dividends many a time. China is the only country this year to have achieved the highest Industrial growth when the entire world is reeling under economic crisis.

Although Buddhism took its birth in India it has spread and become more popular in the far eastern countries and most of the world famous Buddha staues are found in those countries...I have uploaded a picture of the Buddha statue at Bodh Gaya...
