Trains collide in West Bengal's Malda district, one killed

At least one person was killed and 50 were injured when 11 bogies of Guwahati-Bengaluru Express and a passenger train derailed after a collision on Sunday evening at Jamirghata in West Bengal's Malda district.

Malda GRP sources said one passenger was killed and 50 were injured.

Railway spokesperson Anil Kumar Saxena said the body of an elderly woman was found near the derailed engine of the Guwahati-Bengaluru Express. The accident occurred between Gour Malda and Jamirghata stations in Malda division of Eastern Railway at 19:05 hours.

Oh god this accidents are taking now a days the railways are not taking any securities for the people life.
it feels very bad when i see accidents . accidents are so horrible .
One more! It's really sad and disturbing that we are having one too many! But who cares!
This is really a very sad incident and railway accidents are big loss to human lives and property...
this is really a horrible news that government should not take any action against it.
Indian Railways have a lot to explain as to why it fails to honor its commitment to safety of travellers!
This railway accidents are happening very often and railways really need to work hard for the safety of the passengers as railways has always been an method of travelling for the common people...
All accidents are unfortunate.this is not right that govt. is not taking any action. sometime it is seen that anybody is responsible for such accident.Govt. is introducing some new technology to prevent such accident.
Government is responsible for it and should introduce some new technology to avoid it.
