Chennai, along with Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, ranks among the top three in the list of cities that will generate maximum number of jobs in 2011, a survey said. The Employment Trends Survey by Ma Foi Randstad states that Chennai, which employed 3.72 lakh people last year, will attract more with 4.40 lakh jobs this year. Mumbai, which generated 6.50 lakh jobs in 2010, will employ 7.58 lakh jobs in 2011. Delhi-NCR belt is expected to employ 6.88 lakh this year against 5.86 lakh last year.
