    The actor has been sentenced despite the victim having turned hostile in court and denied the allegations. The court did not accept withdrawal of allegation by the domestic help.

    Rape is not a compoundable offence. This is also cognizable. This means that the accused can be convicted even without complaint by victim. In such cases, victim and the culprit cannot make any settlement. The court concluded that the victim had turned hostile witness. Her denial and withdrawal of the case was not genuine. so, the court rightly sentenced the culprit.

    This is very good decision. The rich people attempt to influence the victims and others with their money power and influence. This decision is a warning to such arrogant offenders who believe that they could do anything with money power.
