Two days after the body of a youth was found in the forest area of Kardhani, three cops were on Saturday sent to police reserve lines for leaving him unattended after he was tied up to a tree and beaten up by locals.

The unidentified youth, suspected to be mentally unstable, was badly beaten up on Wednesday night after he barged into a house in Bindayika Colony. Manju Sharma, a woman present in the house, panicked and raised an alarm, after which her relatives and neighbours tied the youth to a tree and thrashed him.

Very sad to hear this. Shame on cops who don't care about people. Atleast people near by (if any) should have come forward.
Disgusting, very sad news, how can the cops be so heartless

People nearby were actually the culprits who tied the youth and thrashed him. Police also often feel helpless about unruly people. However the police have shown negligence. Either they could protect the youth from lawless miscreants or called for additional force. Law should not be weake before unruly and lawless individuals.
