Karunanidhi directed not to distribute TV sets

In view of forthcoming assembly elections, the Tamilnadu Govt. has been directed by Election commission not to distribute TV sets. It is a matter of concern that cheap gimmics like this are resorted to woo voters.

The TV sets are to be distributed to all ration card holders irrespective of income.

there are only about 2000 TV sets which are yet to be distributed..
