The rape of the 23 year old woman who was traveling from Kochi (place of work ) to her hometown in Shornur in a vacant ladies compartment can be mildly termed shocking and grabbed immense media attention. Nagalakshmi you have brought a very sensitive issue before us. The main thing is that every person in this society is to be concious of women's safety . We women should take necessary steps to avoide such mishaps .
This is such a gruesome incident. But as usual, after a hue and cry for a couple of days, girls like these would be forgotten, until similar cases resurface. A bandh or two does not do any change, until goverments actually implement actions. A security personnel in ladies compartment is a good suggestion.
It is very important for ladies to learn self defense... Such cruel incidents are on a rise everyday....
I can see that it is unfortunate and even disabled men are not to be trust.. :angry: No safety for young ladies frommen of any age and disability...
The guard of the train was found guilty as he hadn't tried to inform the engine driver about two persons falling from train.
