Jayakumar is the name of the victim - a fisherman from Nagapatnam - was allegedly strangled with a rope and dragged to sea allegedly by the Sri Lankan navy.

Jayakumar's death comes even after India took a strong position on the issue with Colombo a few days ago.

This issue is going on for many years.Nearly 200 fishermen had been killed by the SL navy for the past three decades says a report.I don't know what would be the solution to this problem.
India should retaliate in action and not words. Every Indian life is precious. If such incidents continue, Even diplomatic ties may be cut off.

India is not so strong in its actions. That's why SL government takes it for a toss.
I couldnt understand hope they are taking actions on citizens of other country..can anyone explain why this guy was not saved. :(
This is the neglegency of Indian government as it is late in its action.
