Silver ready (.999 fineness) jumped by Rs 495 per kilo to finish at Rs 47,205 from overnight closing level of Rs 46,710.

Standard gold (99.5 per cent purity) went up by Rs 45 per 10 grams to close at Rs 20,660 from Rs 20,615 previously.

Pure gold (99.9 per cent purity) firmed up by Rs 40 per 10 grams to conclude at Rs 20,760, as against 20,720 yesterday.

Gold also maintained its rising trend on steady buying by stockists and investors.
