@ AKP, I TOO HAVE the same doubt. Even if the site's,  revenue is not affected, it may not appear in the first page of a search engine.

Yes... It will not affect site's revenue as earning source works differently.

@suni.. I have one question. Will it affect site's traffic ranking. I mean less clicks means less traffic. Is it like that?

AKP- you know it well the unique visitors differ from repeat visits which do not count besides one need to stay on a particular page for certain period else it's not taken into account.

Suni.. Yes that's what exactly I thought. Without spending enough time on page it will be not count as proper one. And yes unique visitors are more important than same ip address click hitting the same site. It can actually do reverse effect, that's what I read somewhere.

@sunil. I think the condition that, "one need to stay on a particular page for certain prefixed time" is not binding. This is what I observed.

This is must, if a visitor does not stay on a page for certain time search engine does not consider it a visit. I am not talking about this site where you do not have to open a page but clicking is enough. I can see more people doing same today itself.

But, in this site  a click opens the page, with a congratulatory message that the clicker got one point. After seeing this message, the clicker clicks on the next page. This process goes on.

Anyhow, you know better about the intricacies .i have little knowledge about this.

True... Some people just do it for getting points and close it immediately, which does not help this site.

That is why the condition of captcha is must on certain sites, that keeps visitor engage for some time besides human verification..

Okay, I see.. That is why it is implemented on site. I have seen it on various sites but now know the reason too.

I have heard somewhere that if the click is from the same IP address it is counted as one only. I mean it doesnt matter how so much time one spends clicking on the pages but if IP address is same it doesn't increase traffic of site. Is this also true?

I have heard this from few bloggers.

Yes. What you read is right. The user from a particular IP IS ENTITLED for a single click. No other clicks are considered except the first one.

Here too that's being followed. After clicking on the article the article appears with the message that the user earned 1 point.

Click on the same article again. You will not earn another point.

Yes for a single page it will be counted as one if visitor having same ip address. If another page is getting visited then it will count as click but for same page even you visit more it will be counted as one.

That's not a problem anyone may do it as that's the easy way to get points.

Even if one changes his/her IP one does not get credit unless logged in and no one gets another point even with a changed IP address.

Reading articles alone will not help. Also read articles on sites that are the leaders in this field like Hubpages.com. and Infobarrel.com. try and write if possible on hubpages. It will give you great satisfaction.

Its not about that. It is about getting points, that's the topic people discussing.

Once a member clicks from any IP address it is done...One click per article is allowed , similarly if the admin brings in a regulation on the number of articles one can click on each day it would be better I feel...

Regulation on  clicking the articles, would certainly help. I agree with you Usha.

@usha many times this has been requested but no such rule still has been made yet. But I agree there should be a limit or there should not be any point to read a article. hehehe

It's related with Site's placement in search engines like Google.
