Generation of power i very important in Tamil Nadu. May be due to some problem such scarcity is occuring. It may be artificial or in general. Just a month ago or two, such scarcity took place in Kolkata and Delhi. Government will definately do something in this regard.
Security concerns should be met. Various sources of energy including nuclear should be compared for cost effectiveness and other related issues like availability of raw material etc. The best should be selected. This is technical issue and and hence only those expert in relevant field may give authentic comments.
Needs will always be there and no matter how much secure we think it is, it will never be totally safe.. Nuclear Energy is never good and never will be.. Even the nuclear dump stays radio active and still we are not able to figure out the solution to dump it. The simple point is : Nuclear is not the solution no matter how much is the crises.
Here is list of biggest electricity producing countries. India is at fifth position. But in view of higher population, this is not satisfactory. A comparison of sources of electricity in these countries will be helpful. Germany is the country with more nuclear energy. But we have spend 1800 crores on this project.. What is the point of protesting against this now.. ??? we can implicitly see Foreign funds coming from srilanka and america for the protest..

Because, During the argument at supreme court, The lawyer from the government argued the same. but judge strongly deny that statement. They added, they (Judge) can stop this project at any point of time. Money incurred doesn't matter. Lakhs of crores is not more important than Human welfare (life).

At that time people are not much aware of this. Already we have nuclear plant in our state Tamilnadu. Why yet another? It was previously designed for Kerala. They were strongly against this plant. That is why it comes to Tamilandu.
