She is a girl who identifies every person with his shirt. She identifies the same person even after 6 months if he wears the same shirt  :woohoo:
Yet, she decided to forgive him. She lied to HOD that she can't remember his face, because she knew our college laws are very strict and he may be suspended for ever. HOD understood, she was holding back the truth. Yet, he didn't take further actions.
But after that incident, no boy was seen wandering in front of ladies waiting room
It happens when we are in early age and don't know how to write in english.

Great collection,Swetha! Most of them have a contrarian spin and that make them so interesting!
@Swetha

The one which does not seem to gel is 'practice makes perfect ....'!
Thanks Swetha,
I also have never noticed this before. Thank you once again for sharing.

Now I am thinking, what would it look like when 2 such contradictory proverbs are expanded by the same person in an interval of 5 minutes. :woohoo:

These are seemingly self contradictory idioms. In fact, everyone has his own idea. Ideas differ. So, there is an idiom for each opinion.

You may say that such person stands between two tools and thus he will fall.

Since you have more experience in years in job, have you come across such confusing situation?

It will be worthwhile to know!
"Udyogi nong purushoshinham upoiti Laxmi
Daibena dayom iti Kapurusha badanti"

Bhyagang Falati Sarbatra, na cha vidya,na cha daibacham!

These two Sanskrit adages present such contradictions!!

I do not remember any confusing situation. I just say that there are idioms for expressing even contrary views. If you believe that delay is must, say: Rome was not built in a day. If you want immediate action, say justice delayed is justice denied. But it will be odd to give contrary view at the same time.
Many people are not habituated in speaking English. They speak other Indian local language. Thus he / she may be good in English but fumbles while speaking it. In some cases, person gets nervous to communicate in English with other people who are also good in the same language. This could be another reason behind fumbling.
Yes Devyani you are absolutely correct. Even me I know how to speak but at the time of speaking or writing I will fail.
oh. is that so gulshan ji

May be chinmoy ji could be more kind enough to explain to me the translation of sanskrit
