In movies we see that some bullets do not hit some metallic pendants wear by hero but they pierce through lift or car doors. In real what type of material help in not caughting bullet.

Thanks for the reply sasi I think in movies dummy bullets are use and they just hit the body they dont pierce to any material.
I want to know in real if we hit on any metallic substance does the bullet pierce through it or not. I think from glass, wall, wood it can pierce but dont know exactly what are the substances that obstruct it.
