Yes it is true and I also want to add to it that teenagers get fantasized towards the media like films, magazines etc.
It's a grave problem you have taken up for discussion. The situation is,indeed, very alarming!
I don't know how these people lead to alcoholism like these.Really a sad news to hear.

This is certainly due to pressure, High expectations resulting in failures, Lack of proper knowledge about the ill-effects of consuming alcohol at an early age and bad social circles

Parents are the first people to guide thier childrens on this matter it can lead to dangerous consequences in the later age of youngsters
A teenager's psychological make-up is a very complex one and the absence of appropriate guidance is making the problem all the more dangerous!
This is indeed alarming situation! Also the fact is that there are so many liquor and wine shops in every town adn city and there is lack of regulation prohibiting the teenagers from acquiring alcohol. This leads to ending up drinking alcohol more often!

Recently on anti drug day we conducted an anti alcohol awareness class among college students as they are more pron to this.

This is a nice move Abid! Tehre should be more awareness programs about it!

But the current lifestyle where a lot of focus is on weekend parties and late night disco culture, consuming alcohol is more of being a part of the hep crowd! This easily leads to addiction to alcohol! Even young girls are more increasingly drinking alcohol.

Chinmoy, that is indeed sad but very heartening to know that people like you are taking inityiatives into such issues! As to the relapse of his addiction, I can only think of his poverty that does not give him any support system!
