The Indian postal department celebrated the XIX Commonwealth Games by issuing third set of Games stamps at CWG Village Post Office, to immortalize the event that inaugurated on Sunday, Oct 3.


Third Set of Stamps on Tennis, Archery, Hockey and Athletics was released by Rameshwari Handa Chief Postmaster General, Delhi Circle.


Lt General (Retd) Ashok Kapur ADG (Games Village) and other senior officers of India Post were also present at the release of stamps.

The Indian postal department has already issued two sets of stamps, one set on the Queen’s Baton Relay and a second on the Jawaharlal Nehru and Talkatora Stadiums.

this issue can be considered as an great thing because such things will known to all the people and they are resembles of those cwg games.....
It's a customary practice to release stamps of this kind to commemorate any such big event!
