Chinmoy thanks for posting this wonderful quote... :)
It is one of my favorite Quote of swamiji..It is indeed true and gives that importance of mind...
My thinking:
I feel that what ever inventions done till now originated from this library only..and man himself is a invention of God another mind with infinite library of the universe.. :)
But still our quest for knowledge never ends..
Yes,As swamiji stated Mind is an infinite library. Let us use it for constructive things only. :) :)
Good Morning to all!

It's all our minds which are the inexhaustible source of knowledge!
Truly saying, Sometimes I don't understand such philosophical thoughts.
But I am sure you are aware of the great powers of our minds! That's what Swamiji was pointing to!
well abid this quote is the shows the capability of mind...
All the books in all libraries are testimony to the power of human minds!!
What does 'knowledge' mean. Knowledge is nothing but visualizing the facts of nature and analyzing them. Mind or brain is only an apparatus to analyze the information received through our senses- sight, sound, taste, smell and touch. Knowledge pertains to the world outside.
A good and a different perspective of thought from Gulshan on "Knowledge".Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :) :)

We should be pragmatic or realist and not be lost in phrases used by the celebrities. We may compare our brain/ mind to CPU. The entire universe is web. Our various organs like eyes, ears are just mouse or key board. The inputs received by our organs are transmitted to CPU (brain or mind) that analyses the data (information). The data processed thus by brain or mind is knowledge.
Gushan,

Swamiji could understand the working of what you call 'CPU' without even seeing one!!!!
Well said Chinmoy...he can easily do that... :)

Chinmoy- Definitely, I am not comparable to Swamiji, who was world renowned genius and had finest qualities of head, heart and mind. I write only from my limited capability. But we should think independently and for our own opinions despite our limited brain power.
@Gulshan

No doubt about it that we should have a probing mind and develop our independent intellectual personalities but when we reach the limits, the words of sages and savant do open new vistas for us!
I agree with you Chinmoy.Swamiji is an spiritual intellectual who had a great command over knowledge. :) :)

Thanks for your views Gulshan. :)
We have got to accept our limitations and look to great minds who have the courage and convictions to think differently which is beyond us!
What you said is true ,Chinmoy. Thanks for sharing your views. :) :)

I agree. We should be responsive to all. The words of sages and leading thinkers/ philosophers always enrich our thoughts.
Thanks Gulshan! Our respective views have finally converged to this point of agreement!!
