I understand that every one who has PAN and is eligible to get AADHAAR must link PAN with AADHAAR even if he does not file return. We need to intimate PAN and AADHAAR bot to bank. If PAN is not linked with AADHAAR, the PAN will become invalid. this also has consequences. Intimation of invalid PAN to bank is also not legitimate. I have just one minute ago linked bot cards with income tax. This is so simple. Just visit income department portal, click link AADHAAR and fill the details in the window, enter CAPTHA and submit. You will get a message that AADHAAR has been successfully linked. In fact, this process took less time than writing a post in Boddunan.

Now the dead line for linking PAN and AAdhar has been extended up to Dec 31. With this, things related to linking os PAN and Aadhar will be OK
After supreme Court verdict, it is not mandatory.....date is also extended till Dec 2017 as the hearing in court is again around that time
