How can CSR activities be diverted to serving the Government schools?

The Central Government has come with a legislation mandating that the Corporates spend 2% of their profits on Corporate Social Responsibility activities.

In India, Corporates do too little, and very little indeed.

One very useful way in which they can be serving the very poor is by improving the standards of education in Government schools.  Why not depute some excellent engineers to handle classes free of cost, between Jan and March every year, in Mathematics?

The executives can be given 'On duty" for ten days.  They will learn first hand, the situation in the Government Schools.  If such free tuition's are given, the standard of the Government schools in the public examinations can improve a great deal.

Why not each Corporate donate five good computers to Government and also conduct free software classes for the plus one and plus 2 students?  This will go a long way in improving standards.

Members may please  come up with suggestions.
