It's ok. National award for a regional language movie and an item dance in a Hindi movie are certainly notable achievements. But she will be known for a limited audience. Anyhow this doesn't mean I will not wish her a Happy birthday to Priyamani.

Her original name is Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer. She gained wide spread recognition for her role as village girl named Muththazhagu in the Tamil film Paruthiveeran. She was awarded National Award for Best Actress and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance.
