    May I suggest here as a mechanical engineer who knows a little bit about electronic bikes and cars. Actually such bikes run a set on rechargeable batteries who have a life of about 300 re-charges. Once the battery is to be replaced after an year or so the cost of the same is more than the petrol you saved through the year and the power it needs to take to recharge it. Besides the power position would make things worse for the user. Finally the battery has limited power to cover a short distance only. Good for city users but for a very high cost. The bike has no moving parts apart its wheal and the spares are too costly. Initially there won't be no expert mechanics to attend to it but the authorized service centers only.

    Yes I think initially any technology has some problems and I think @Sunil has explained it well... :) . This is better for shorter distances only. If I am right already one branded company has introduced such scooter before in India...

    There are hundreds of brands available in Indian market for 20k to 30k range but no one is interested in them any more. Actually most of them are made in China and too poor in quality.
    One car is doing alright manufactured in Bangalore India, "REVA" That one is good as quality is okay but again too costly to maintain.

    Electronic scooter is good invention. This will reduce the consumption of petrol but increase the use of electricity or battery.

    Possibly, electronic scooters are in stage of infancy. Let us hope that there will be more improvement and at some time, these may prove as viable vehicle at least for city use. These are pollution and news free.

    the electronic scooter looks great look. I like to go for it. It saves petrol cost more. But, Already there are many electronic scooters available in India. As Sunil ji explained well about electronic scooter and its problems. I hope it will get well on future.. :cheer:

    Oh really I missed the suni's post. Battery is costly also.But it is pollution free.
