Let me tell something about one of my classmates.
She is the eldest of all siblings. Her parents, after getting two daughters decided to have a third child due to their intense desire to get a son. What happened next time was, again girl was born. But this time, they were twins. Thus they got 4 daughters.
Am asking you people, actually is there any difference between these two? Is bringing up a girl kid more risky and costly, that prompts parents to think of a boy? Or is it just their desire to get the presence of a kid at their old age???

What I feel the woman is the biggest enemy of woman today. And the worst enemy for a woman is 'she' for herself.
How you can say that a women are a enemy of another women. You hear that a man blame other man for their need daily in newspaper but i think regarding women this kind of message cannot be shown....................

I have seen this in every TV show, women keep blaming and harming each other and even making lot of drama to show themselves down.
There are many gender based notions and prejudices. One is that a clan continues with son whereas daughter goes to another clan/ family. There will be no proper salvation of soul unless a son performs funeral pyre. Besides, the tradition of dowry system also discriminates against girls. A girl is considered as 'others property' (Paraya dhan)
I feel that it is this particular issue or rather practice that makes parents opt for a male child since he is not going away anywhere, will look after them during their old age.It was also true during the old times when things were a lot different, however it was not as if they did not want daughters, but preferred to have at least one son.
If I had 2 or 3 daughters only, I too would want to have a son which is but natural ! :)
Making parents living in old age homes is not love. It is just leaving the responsibilities
yes this is going in our society now a day.Parents are taking care of a child but when they grow.they think they are not good for our images....They make separation from them................
Yep that is really bad... not worth for any thing.
I don't think that there is no difference between son and daughter now.Only illiterate persons think so.
What's its connection with illiteracy?
It's related to people's mentality only :silly: :silly: :silly:
Only illiterate persons are bearing such mentality.
I can't agree....
I have seen many poor parents happy with 2 daughters
