Low salaries for teachers in private schools......is it justifiable?

I think it's the case of all private English medium schools of our country. Highly educated teachers are given just 3000 or 4000 per month for their hard work saying teaching is a noble work. Yet institutions are making high profits  . Is it justifiable? Why teachers are not responding to it? Don't you think their silence is responsible for such exploitations in the society? This is not good for the schools as they are getting more money. They should think of the people as the cost of living increased so much.
At least, total fees got for a single kid from a class room of 60 kids should be given to teachers. I feel so
Compared to the government school teachers the private school teachers do hard work. so they should be paid high then government school teachrs. government school teacher never do their teaching seriouslu

I totally agree with that.In fact, private school teachers have no holidays even during summer break , they have to attend school and do the preparation for the coming year assisting the management with the selection process etc etc ..all that yiu get is an addition of daily allowance of Rs 200 per day :(
Also, if they have a public holiday, they have to compensate with another day. Also, now in Kerala private schools, from standard 5 works on Saturdays too. But Saturday is a holiday for Government school teachers
Now a days private teachers are working on low salary ..They have to teach well otherwise they may be fired and for government teachers they are fixed and they get high salary........which is not right.
yes I agreed with this. :) :) :) They need experience , service , and somebody needs higher studies. More over they may afraid to demand their salary because of lac of knowledge and qualification.
Transfer and all those things will be disturbed them, so they are adjusted and well settled there.
Today private teachers give their best in schools and get low salary whereas government teachers just teaches the student and take high salary...This have to be stopped.
Private schools are earning a lot while giving teachers just 2000 or 3000 per month. it's ridiculous!
Ya they make private school as a business and what ever the benefit school has keep itself.

It is the other way round in Karnataka.Government schools work even in Saturdays ( half day ) whereas private English medium schools work only for 5 days and Saturdays are off...

I agree that some of the teachers prefer to work in private school than in a Government school because of the transfer issue. However, I don't agree to your statement that they might be afraid due to lack of knowledge and qualification. If a teacher does not have the required knowledge or qualification to teach students of a particular level, I doubt if he/she would be selected as a teacher in the first case. In this competitive world, the school management cannot take the risk of selecting teachers who doesn't have the required qualification. For it would reflect in the way he/ she is teaching. Teachers who doesn't teach properly would mean bad bussiness for the school in future.I have noticed that parents are never afraid to pay high fees if a school has good teachers.
personally, I feel that it is all a case of supply and demand. Nowadays, there are many educated people who have finished Masters but are still unemployed. Since, teaching is a respected job. so, many are willing to be a teacher for less salary.
Ya you are right but i think private teacher is better than government teachers.........
NO Asha private teaches will have good salaries but they wont have freedom like government teachers.

I want to add something more.
No teacher will be admitted in schools without BEd degree(except IT). So, no one should say private teachers are not qualified!!!
But not now with out BED also there are many teachers in schools.
