Yes stock markets are direct reflections of a nation's economy

The ups and down in market depends up on the demand.

If a person take sand to sell in desert then no one will purchase. So there is no demand for sand there as there sand freely available.So this is down in the market. But if you take water and sell in desert, Everyone will purchase, though it is high cost. Because for water there is alot of demand. So this is up in the market.

I think this depend on US markets when they loose we also will loose.

If no special news in our nation, our stock market is in the needle on S&P and Dow Futures, no doubt. ;)
Also, afternoon trade based on European markets......because foreigners invest money more in India than we people do. So, it completely depends on global market up-downs

yes, you are right sandhya. Our Indian work most for for foreign countries. they wont prefer India as indian pay very less and foreigner pay more.

By the way, do stock market and gold depend on dollar value?
