Since the rejected articles will not be displayed to public on website, search crawlers also do not crawl such articles. They will only visible to the authors who wrote them, the editors and the administrators.

But technically speaking ,the codes which are used in that pages like robots follow, they are follow by the crawlers and they will index the pages of the site.

We have necessary steps taken to dis-allow the rejected articles to be visible to even the robots. Our software is so capable to handle all such scenarios. And we do track crawled webpages in Google Webmaster Tools :B
