TV content aren't they crossing limit

The TV channels are now acting in most funny way. Truly TV sets are now idiot box. Today, I saw a channel commentator standing before a college and wasting hours on asking students about their exam preparation as if this has any news channel. I think TV channel have nothing better to do. We may also expect them to stand before a temple, a hospital or a busy market just to report what people say or do.

Certainly TV not only TV any media for that matter are crossing their limits

I think the overall quality leaves a lot to be desired.Earlier we had fewer channels but the quality quotient was better but now we have more channels and but about quality the less said the better!

Exactly, crossing the TV serials makers. Ugly scenes are showing.


In one family no one believes another negative lady characters introducing.

Lady vilanism (anti heroin) and more lady negative rolls involving is really crossing limits.

Hmm...I don't sees serials and also TV !!!This is because of the presence of serials itself.

Abid- i don't also see TV. this is just idiot box polluting our mind and narrating trivial things the whole day.

I am used to watch news items on TV . I feel watching Discovery, National geography, Animal planet and travel channels enrich one in terms of knowledge. I prefer these channels than any other.

I watch news channels and business channels. Now realty programs are also becoming like serials. So much sentiment in the programs. This should be avoided.

I find a sharp decline in the standards of most of the soap operas and news and views-based programs are a lot better.

Chinmoy- The news and views based programmes in English are of good standard. But even these in Hindi are substandard and no appealing to intellect.

It won't be fair on my part to pass any comments on the general standards of Hindi news channels as I do not follow them regularly but I remember when the most celebrated news channel Aaj Tak was lauched that was a revolutionary development and it became an instant hit with the viewers.

Has anyone seen India TV lately? Whatever is beingb shown there is much more dramatized and unbelievable than serials!! Not to say that it is in any way watchable. This channel seems like working towards making people to go back in time by promoting andhashraddha!!!

India TV and all similar channels should be banned! Also on rise are the number of so called sadhus and maharajas on various channels who give daily prophecies rashi-wise and also claim to provide solutions to all your problems!

The only that we as responsible viewers can do is SKIP THESE CHANNELS!

As technology develops all are using them.So it is ones decission which to see which not.

guys in there adult age just do ,what we call a thrill .

Sumit- Adult content is not so alarming. This may be regulated and telecast only in late night hours. The more damage is by channels propagating anti social values, unscientific and superstitious content and astrological predictions etc. These are most dangerous.

@Gulshan, you right because the content in TV and movies creates great influence upon the viwers, especially in countries like India where illiteracy is still high. Such people tend to believe what they see in movies and on TV.

Where it took centuries to eradicate (to some extent) practices like child marriage (we have still not managed to completely), serials like Balika Vadhu are impacting negatively!!

Yes they are crossing limit.

TV is viewed by even small children so it creates a bad impression on them.

Not everything shown on TV is harmful, but we should choose carefully what to watch and when it concerns, children strict regulations should be made on how much to watch and when to watch!!
