Here is funny question raised. are there good and efficient 500 men to rule India.
It is forgotten that it is not the question of best 500 men. It is not the best but those capable of winning elections will rule. The 'best' are incompetent as far as getting votes is concerned.
Even if some real improvement is sought, this has to be done by the political parties. If the major political parties improve themselves, we shall get good leaders and administrators.
i think this is serious also on the other side as we can see that rare of politicians serve properly or with honesty and most have come only for fame and name.

Political parties can improve if more people join these. I think that all citizens should join politics actively by joining the political parties. You may choose between Congress, BJP, Left parties and some good regional parties according to your choice. Government servants cannot join political parties. Others can. If the citizens join the parties in large number, monopoly of existing leaders will be broken and improvement possible. It is enough to join political parties and influence decisions and affairs. It is not necessary for all to fight elections.
