    Ages old social system that has kept women chained inside the house to endless chores of taking care of everyone and everything, the resultant inferior status inflicted upon the women and superinflated chauvinistic egos of most men prevent women from being treated at par with men.

    We are male dominated society. Historically, a woman's field is home and family and man considered bread winner. Teaching and nursing are considered women's occupations. Now women are entering all fields. They are treated better. But there are actual physical differences that cannot be wished away. Men are physically stronger and they may go to any place even field and at borders. They are not scared of rape and other such physical misbehavior unlike women. Even if they face any ill treatment of sexual nature, they do not suffer from stigma.

    There is need for change in social attitude and women's own attitude for full equality.

    In India there are some ages-held beliefs that some professions and occupations are not meant for women but in the West women take to these with great success disproving all notions about unsuitability of women!

    it is not now like that but as far in old times it was occurred that women can't take part in decisions of homes and didn't have priorities.

    Indian society is patriarchal.From ages our belief is that women's cannot be compared to men.Their domain is home and children.Though today women have come out of this domain and proved themselves in different spheres of life but then still important decisions are take by men.One of the reasons may be that men used to earn money in the family and women's work for home and family was free.

    Oh thats very bad to here. women also should be equal to men. but in indian they never do that. and more over the talented women are underestimated and stamped in home by the men
