I too think of this matter what can we do. Our Government should take action against smoking...
Smoking is bad and every cigarette pack warns. The smoker well knows the danger and hence this is his outlook. He has freedom to smoke in
spite of the risk known. But non smokers should not be subjected to risk through inhaling secondary smoke. Hence, smoking in public places is banned, As regards private places, it is for concerned persons to see what is best for them.

We can't blame the Government its the public who are violating the rules..
Apart from the above mentioned facts by the members there is also another vital fact which will prevent the government from banning it as it earns huge revenue from it and hence it can never even in its dream think of totally banning it....
Some studies had reveled that passive smoking also causes death due to cancer. So I think smoking is to be banned.

Total ban on smoking is neither pragmatic not Democratic. Each individual has a right to choose what he consumes. As passive smoking is harmful even to non smokers, there is ban on smoking in public.

Cigarette companies should stop this. But they won't stop. So,government should have to take steps to stop them,to ban them.

That is why smoking in public places is banned. Smoking privately does not affect rights of others.
