Hi aastha and all,

I was also just wondering if it is better to post the answer.

Just think in Roman numerals.. You will get it..
Interesting puzzle, but could have waited for some more time before revealing the answer..
Ohh...Thanks Sridevi for the hint..

I got it..

1 in Roman numeral is written as I
and 4 in roman is written as IV
so removing 1 from 4 we get V which is the roman of number 5...

This was really interesting Sridevi..
Hope you bring more for us...

Next Q: What is the common feature in all the folowing:
161, 1551,8008,222, 656
Anybody trying? It is simple
I think the answer is that in memtion 5 words you have given there is double words in each word like in first word one is two times,in 2nd word again one is two times,in 3rd word eight is two times.
Hope i am right.
I think the very simple similarity between these five words are:

These all, is starting from which digit, is ending at the same digit..

Like in 161 =, starting from 1 and ending at 1..

1551=starting from 1 and ending at 1..

8008= starting from 8 and ending at 8..

222= starting from 2 and ending at 2..

656= starting from 6 and ending at 6..

Tell me Sridevi, if I am right...

Yes.. Aastha, right.. in simple terms, they are palindromic numbers...(or symmetrical numbers..)same when writen forwards or backwards.
