On the face these treatments look disgusting. But, they are successful. That's what is required.

The way of treatment may be disgusting, but the result should be positive. 

Ultimately the curing part of a treatment counts. There are several such facts in the ancient medical systems of different countries which look bizarre but cure the disease effectively.

I agree. There are still some medical treatments which do not have any answer as far as the reasons for curative properties. But why one should bother as long as they cure?

Mostly unconventional means of alternative therapies results of which need to be proven with more studies. Personally, I would stick to only allopathy, ayurveda and homeopathic and leave the rest alone.

Ayurveda is one therapy that has been proved scientifically about its efficacy. I Too prefer Ayurveda and Homeopathy . About other alternative therapies like Aroma therapy do need more studies to prove their efficacy. But I never go for Allopathy which cures one disease and creates a new one.

It is not right to say that Allopathy cures one and creates a new one. One has a right to chose type of medical treatment they want but not by belittling other treatments.In arecent survey 90 % of Indians said they opt for allopathy treatment.

It is my personal experience. Not many days ago i had to go to an Allopathic doctor nearby. He diagnosed my problem as indigestion. Indigestion was cured of course but the constipation started. Where as a few yogic asanas i completely cured my constipation problem. The doctor squeezed Rs. 300. Yogic asanas came free of cost. Yes. I had a choice. Which is why i resorted to Yoga for which decision i have no complaints or regrets.
