Of course. Both the parties, if they take in a lighter vein, its OK. But care should be taken especially children should not make it a practice.thinking that they can manage every time with lies.

Sometimes these excuses could be given just to lighten the mood.
Even they are not good for anyone.. Making it to lighten up the situation is good but it always come down to conclusion that one is running from it's responsibilities.
