Should India give asylum to Snowden- the American whistle blower. This may be embarrassing to U.S.A. and may affect relation. But then have we not given asylum to Dalai Lama with so many liberties and privileges.

The leaks exposed by Snowden clearly established the fact that there is a gap between precept and practice as far as the US is concerned. Why this snooping on the Indian embassy in Washington, if the relations between India and America are good.? Such relations are not necessary for India. Yes, Snowden should be granted a conditional asylum in India.

Its OK. But we should not have the fear that Good relations with USA are the be all and end all. We should have a firm stand as far as our policies are concerned.

Every one is citizen of a particularly country and subject to law of that country. Will it to proper to give asylum to some body to enable him to escape from law of his country? If this is okay, any one in our country fearing legal action may seek asylum in some other country.

India has refused asylum. Now this is closed matter. We need not give asylum to any one just to save legal action.

The fact is we are not a country who decide our own matters but we look at others before taking any decision.
