When someone commits crime and gets rid of punishment by illegal attempts is called corruption. He may either give bribe or forcefully assault someone or kills someone or do all of these to keep itself away from punishments. This is corruption. He may also keep a huge fund aside as black money, harass people or hoard food for black marketting is nothing but corruption.
ya right we can also see corruption in some of our working area . even in a school where i used to teach for two years ago the management there used to increase the fee of students near about 10% but increase in salary of teachers was only 1-2% rest of money was directly went in thir pockets.

I agree that corruption is more with political intervention. In fact, one may indulge in corruption when he has power. Political parties and politicians have more power. So, they are more capable of corruption. However, others also are not honest. They indulge in corruption to the extent they are capable of.
