Savitribai Phule, India's first lady teache,r fought against the totalitarianism of caste and other Social evils in India.. I pay my respect to her on her 186 th birth day.
Its good to know that even google is recognizing her efforts. I am sure many dont know much about her in India. Frankly i did not know. Now only reading about her work., I wish there were ways in which we could create greater awareness about people like her within the country

Savitrbai Phule is a trend setter. We need such great souls. Every Indian should make her a Role Model.
Savitribai Phule was a lady worth admiring for her relentless efforts to make the life of women better. Opening schools for girls at a time when they had to face lots of discrimination shows her determination.
Savitibai Phule along with her husband,Mahatma Jotiba Phule were the first among the people to declare war against Casteism.and Brahminic - caseist culture. i bow down before the couple for their Social refrms.
Thanks for sharing this valuable information. Actually I was totally ignorant about it. In fact, today morning while searching something on Google I found this image and was totally clueless about it's significance. Well, in a hurry and with so much on hand, I did not bother about it.
Well hats off to this lady and the couple for their incredible contribution.
Also thanks to Google to recognize these unsung heroes
I am open to experience what life's mystery bag holds for me

I am really surprised reading posts here that many did not even know the name of the lady who paved way for women's education in India, along with other pioneers! What do they teach at all in our history books????
