No place for honest officers in Karnataka under Congress rule

Ever since the Congress government came to power in Karnataka with corrupt Siddaramaiah made CM ruled by  an even more corrupt family dynasty, there has been nothing but problems . It has been scams and corrupt practices with absolutely no restraint with the blessings of the top leaders who are themselves under the scanner for many cases of corruption and scams. Karnataka has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, either rape cases, suicide case of an honest IAS officer Ravi or mass suicide of farmers while the MLAs went on two consecutive foreign tours without a care in the world and now this latest suicide case of a very upright police DSP Ganapathy who was well known in Mangalore. Home Minister George has been involved in almost all these cases but he has the blessings of the top leaders and unless there is a civil movement things will not change here.

The new Congress party after the Italian lady and her bumbling son took over has always compromised on national safety since that was never their agenda,  which can be seen by the latest videos of Digvijay Singh calling a terrorist a peace loving scholar, is there anything more ludicrous than this ?

You and @USHA have a point

Opinions do coincide.

I doubt that and if at all very rarely and definitely not here...

In the normal course of events when a suicide victim names someone the first course that the police do is to file an FIR and arrest the people or person concerned like it happened in the case of Pratyusha Banerjee and Jiya Khan and also a couple of other suicide cases in Bangalore where even without a mention people who were directly involved were arrested ..But here inspite of the family filing a case and waiting all nght utside the police station at Somawarpet in Kodagu ,the police refused to file an FIR against the three people named because one is the ex home minister and two high level police officials, all very close to the CM..

It is non actions like these which erode the common man's confidence in the country's justice system. By not arresting the named persons the cases against them have been considerably diluted. It is clear there are different systems of justices foe different classes of citizens.

Having different systems of Justices, a new thing ? There is no place for the poor in the present System  of justice. It's crystal clear that the person though named,  is a Politician. This explains all.

Like @ vijay rightly pointed out justice system in India has always had different systems. The very fact that people with money and power can get away with just about anything shows how rotten the system has become over the years. Unless people unite together and rise against it nothing much is likely to happen. We citizens will keep grumbling and blaming everyone possible just to vent out our frustrations knowing fully well that we are helpless to single handedly do anything else .

In these days only corrupt persons are joining politics. At present for person who is honest  from lower income group, impossible to won election of sarpanch.

Honest persons do not get attracted to politics which is not good for the country in the long run. Then we will get corrupt administration.

It's good that honest persons avoid Politics. Politics are the last resort of a Scoundrel.

It entirely depends on the top leadership as to how the ones under them fare , some parties have extremely corrupt power hungry leaders and their followers will do the same.. With all that there are a few politicians who are able to rise above all these weaknesses and set an example by remaining committed . We have an MLA named Mr Lobo , a practicing lawyer from our ward who is from Congress party , probably one of the least corrupt politicians. Similarly our MP Nalin Kmar Kateel who is from BJP is also one of the best in the country, his name was on top of the list last year for having utilised his MP fund in the most useful manner. So, one cannot say all are corrupt !

If honest people are being advised to avoid politics then one should not complain about corruption.

If people really want to  do some thing good, honest people themselves come forward without any body's advise. But the reality is most of the honest turn away from politics. Even if they dare to enter politics, they will be ostracized and humiliated bt their own party members.

Still the honest have to be encouraged and supported. Politics cannot be left to scoundrels.

That's what all of us want. Honest should enter politics and contribute his mite to a better and corruption free Society.

Our Political system like our society is full of contradictions and double standards. It is not easy to see any positive changes anytime soon. It lies with the younger generations to bring in the much needed change . But again to train their minds it requires the help and dedication of the elders, teachers and other who come into contact with them. All in all , almost an impossible task, thats why the change if any when it happens is very small .

As the country becomes economically stronger, larger sections of society will become affluent. This will increase opportunities for making money legitimately and bring down corruption levels. Yes it will happen over a longer period of time.

Making money is a hunger which never satisfied.

Making money legitimately is OK. But where is that legitimacy ? Mallya too made money. As you said making money is an insatiable thirst.

Mallya is a defaulter but he made money not through corruption because he had a legitimate business. We should not confuse issues here since there is a difference between making money through corrupt means and defaulting ones payments ..

His lifestyle has gone against him otherwise the list of defaulters is endless when you see the NPA's of all banks put together.
