This post is not just an afterthought, past couple of weeks have seen many bizzare things happening in my country and this is a culmination of all those incidents.
I have always thought my country and its countrymen to be very flexible and democratic but offlate I don't know why we have become a lot rigid and some may call that India is moving towards Fascism....
As can be seen from the latest Vande Mataram issue, which I think is a non issue. Jamait E Ulema once again issued a fatwa against our National song. The thing that I am unable to understand is that how can our national song be related to any particular religion, its a song of and for every Indian. As an Indian, I will never appreciate any religious organisation dividing my country. More so, our constitution never said that singing national song is compulsory, even the Supreme Court has not held singing of national anthem compulsory. Its a free country and it does'nt really matters whether you sing or not sing Vande Mataram. Muslims in this country are more Indians than any other Indian and they don't need to prove this by singing any song.... having said that, its my strong belief that we are Indians first than hindu or muslim. So , as an Indian I have no issue with Vande Mataram and nor should these religious organisation should have.
Next, I have always believed that in a vast country like ours a bit of regionalism will always be there but this regionalism should not turn into linguistic divide.....'coz language divides in much deeper way. This happened in Andhra Pradesh and other southeren states, there you are not supposed to speak in hindi but in these states this was not made mandatory as such. But the recent incident of Maharashtra Assembly is really very dangerous and may set very bad preceedents for the future....I mean, a member of Maharashtra legislative assembly was beaten up just ' coz he took his oath in hindi ...damn! I knew Raj Thakre and others were intolerant but this is crossing limit now....means, hindi is supposed to be our national language and even than our constitution gives us right to speak any language....how can these fascists and morons like Raj Thakre's be allowed to disturb the unity of this country for just some meagre vote bank politics.
Next, I have noticed that Bihari Bashing has also become a ritual offlate. Raj Thakre the moron started this and now even the national parties like Congress and BJP have started giving air to this fire. Be it CM of Madhya Pradesh or CM of Delhi they are forgetting one thing that India from J&K to Kanyakumari is one state and every citizen of this country can go and work anywhere in the country. After all its India, country of all Indians. But, again why these parties are indulging into such lower level vote bank politics is again beyond me.
One thing is sure, no matter how hard these fascists power try to break India, this country will not give in to them and it will not succumb to these ill thinking guys. Atleast, we youngsters will not let this happen.
As now days we can see that lots of MNC's company entering India.Indian Government should this urgently.Because this companies are doing lots of fake advertisements about diseases like HIV/AIDS. This is diseases is not much danger but to sell the medicines some Government companies advertise this MNC's product and because of this people fear about the disease and buy the medicine to stay away from the disease.Directly the MNC company earns a millions of profit and a share from them goes to Government and many small organisations just to advertise about the disease and to make people fear.So if India want to achieve Millennium Development Goal than India should stop this corruption of making people fear by giving fake and false advertisements of the disease. The latest example of this is the disease SWINE FLU. Multinational Companies with the help of Government and small organisations done the publicity of SWINE FLU so much that people are fearing now with SWINE FLU. If some person is suffering from normal Flu also than he will think he has SWINE FLU and will go for the check up of SWINE FLU and will take the medicine of SWINE FLU. In this who got profit? The Multinational Company making the medicine,Government because Government gave the licence to that company and the organisation who advertised their product and the disease. There are many other disease like TB, Cancer etc and more people dies by suffering from this disease than in comparision with SWINE FLU. Than why so much publicity is made about Swine Flu?Its all about Corruption in Government Departments. If this will stop than India will achieve Good Future for sure.
Every indian is aware about Former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi and his contributions towards developemnt of India. Let's know more about him and his activities.
Rajiv Gandhi was born on 20th August 1944. He was the elder son of Indira and Feroze Gandhi and grandson of Jawaharlal Nehru. He attended the Doon school, Dehradun, Imperial College, London and Cambridge University. Since his childhood, he had ambition to do something different. Rajiv worked as a pilot with Indian airlines as he was very adventurous and dared to try flying. But in year 1980, early and tragic death of his brother Sanjay Gandhi in an air crash, ending the life of a man apparently being groomed to head the Congress Party after his mother, was a total shock to his family. but they were quick to recuperate and in stepped Rajiv, winning a parliamentary seat to the Lok Sabha in 1981 from Amethi. Then there was no looking back for him as he was appointed as one of the General Secretaries of Congress in year 1983.
Then, in October 1983, following the assassination of his mother Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi was elected as Prime Minister of the country and became the youngest Prime Minister of India ever. Then he started widening circle of his interests to benefit his country in every form and also by spreading awareness among the citizens about the use of the radio. Later, Rajiv was credited with Computerization of India. This spirit of creativeness , healthy inquisitiveness made him unique. Since then Rajiv Gandhi had been known as systematic and clean in all his habits and routine and even years after his demise, continues to exercise a positive influence on those who knew him very well. The best example is his widow, Sonia Gandhi. Born into an Italian family as Antonia Maino, she was called Cindrella, the fairy tale princess of her town.
Inpsite of Rajiv Gandhi's rise to fame in such an early stage in his life, he only wished to be a normal person, and even after becoming Prime Minister, he continued to interact with eager youngsters who communicated with him. Reports say that when Dhanu, the human bomb who killed Rajiv, tried to make her way through the crowd to present him with a garland, she was stopped by a police woman. but, it was Rajiv, who in all his kindness and simplicity, said, "Let everyone have a chance," and called her on to the stage, where she presented him with the garland, and while bending down to touch his feet, triggered off the bomb. In his last moments, Rajiv's gentle nature was prominent and was left behind him was his legacy, that is diverse, yet as unique as this country.
As we all know about Nelson Mandela and we all aware about contributions towards freedom. Let's know more about him.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on 18th July 1918, in a village in the area known as Transkei of South Africa. He was born in Thembu Xhosa family. His family members who never went to school but at the age of 7, he started attending school. Actually, "Nelson" as a name was given by a Methodist teacher. After completing basic education, he pursued his Bachelor's degree in Arts at the Fore Hare University. During these days, he was asked to leave the university because he made himself engaged or involved in the boycott of the Students' Representative Council. After getting removed from university, later , he joined University of South Africa and completed his degree course.
In those days, racial discrimination was common which became one of the reason that influenced him to promote the boycott of Students' Representative Council. As racial discrimination was common , this made life very difficult in South Africa. As Mandela belonged to 'Black' community, he started getting insulted, injustice. To avoid such racial discrimination, number of organizations started to fight against racial discrimination.
One of these organizations, African National Congress (ANC) got itself actively involved in fighting against racial discrimination. Getting known about this body or organization, Mandela got himself joined in ANC in 1942. After joining ANC, roughly two years later, he gathered few other members who were strongly influenced after being in ANC and founded the Youth League. As this league was formed by members of ANC itself, it was a branch of ANC which consisted fresh, young generation people which gave moral boost to ANC which undoubtedly did the job of adding more fuel to the fire and flames of liberation began to blaze stronger and stronger than before in the minds of common people.
Later, he founded a law firm with his lawyer friend Oliver Tambo. This foundation encorporated low costing, free counsel to poor people of the region. He along with his co-workers decided to raise the struggle by getting arms and ammunitions which led his arrest and he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Despite of spending almost 25 years in prison, his spirits could not diminish from him and he sent a message while he was in prison. Message was
" Unite! Mobilize! Fight on! Between the anvil of united mass action and the hammer ofthe armed struggle we shall crush apartheid!"
Due to sustained efforts by Nelson Mandela, south Africa and its residents witnessed its first ever democratic elections on 27 April 1994. ANC won a landslide victory and Nelson Mandela took over as the first democratically elected President of South Africa , and the first black to do so ever! This way Nelson Mandela showed remarkable patience, hope and liberating the people of his country and giving them new lease of life.
This defines act of patience, tolerance and equally true saying : " Patience and perseverance can overcome mountains."
Hey guys wassup, This year's Nobel Peace Prize have been won by Mr. BARACK OBAMA ,
The President of USA. So, what has Mr. Obama done thatat Gandhi Ji never did. Yes, he got a nobel prize in the first year of his recognition. But Gandhi Ji never got it. I clearly fail to understand, what the hell Obama did in past 1 year which can over-shawdow or even come close to what Gandhi Ji did.
Gandhi JI was responsible for partition
Gandhi was vehemently opposed to any plan that partitioned India into two separate countries. An overwhelming majority of Muslims living in India, side by side with Hindus and Sikhs, were in favour of Partition. Additionally Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the leader of the Muslim League, commanded widespread support in West Punjab, Sindh, North-West Frontier Province and East Bengal. The partition plan was approved by the Congress leadership as the only way to prevent a wide-scale Hindu-Muslim civil war. Congress leaders knew that Gandhi would viscerally oppose partition, and it was impossible for the Congress to go ahead without his agreement, for Gandhi's support in the party and throughout India was strong. Gandhi's closest colleagues had accepted partition as the best way out, and Sardar Patel endeavoured to convince Gandhi that it was the only way to avoid civil war. A devastated Gandhi gave his assent.
This is what a hero looks like.
The omission of Gandhi has been particularly widely discussed, including in public statements by various members of the Nobel Committee. The Committee has confirmed that Gandhi was nominated in 1937, 1938, 1939, 1947 and, finally, a few days before he was murdered in January 1948. The omission has been publicly regretted by later members of the Nobel Committee. In 1948, the year of Gandhi's death, the Nobel Committee declined to award a prize on the ground that "there was no suitable living candidate" that year. Later, when the Dalai Lama was awarded the Peace Prize in 1989, the chairman of the committee said that this was "in part a tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi".
Mukwege has probably become the world’s leading expert on how to repair the internal physical damage caused by gang rape. He has treated 21,000 women during the Congo’s 12-year war, some of them more than once, performing up to 10 surgeries a day during his 18-hour working days.
He got awards for something he has not achieved but others din for wht they have achieved...

Still, in a way, by ignoring these heroes, the committee may have been on to something. The sad fact is that crusading for womens’ rights in places like Pakistan and the Congo does not bring peace. If you subscribe to the theory that much of the roiling of the Islamic world, the launching of suicide bombers etc. is a reaction by panicked male supremacists to the creeping modernization of women, then “empowering women” with birth control and the like actually, in the short term, encourages war.
Now, what can be done? Nothing, right? BTW, Gandhi started this "non-violence" movement and all that BUT at the same time (I guess) everyone knows that he was the backbone of India-Pakistan separation.
May be at that time, Nobel Prize for peace wasnt only for Fighting WITH peace like gandhi did, but was also for fighting FOR peace. Ofcourse, Gandhi was fighting for independence. Moreover, the "Chauri Chaura Kaand" was like a black spot on his non violence movement
And if u have a look over what all hapened in world that time, yes, there were many other leaders i blv, who contributed in world peace. They were not talked abt like Gandhi, but it doesnt mean that their efforts shud b underestimated.
Remember, every country has its own Hero.
"The Nobel Committee has done President Obama no favours by conferring on him an award that most sensible people will regard as absurdly premature. It’s like anticipatory bail — the pressure will be on Obama to live up to it. He has shown promise in his nine months in office, but nothing he has done so far justifies putting him at par with a Nelson Mandela or a Mother Teresa."
Gandhi ji was a hardcore anti-black racist. His fight in africa was actually for indians and not for africans;because of him India had to participate in WW2..and he lacked concistency...sometimes he used to act like a saint and sometyme as a dictator...:|
and moreover...Britishers dint leave India because Gandhi..it was because they were totally ruined coz of the WW2...
and yeah
those were his words at d tym of partition
"Muslims whose loyalty was with Pakistan should not stay in the Indian Union."
and it was Gandhi's dream to build a Hindu nation...Jinnah just wanted equal rights for muslims...
CONCLUSION:-gandhi is not really a mahatma
Although, the nobel prize committee said that they gave the award for his intentions n to encourage him for spreading world peace, but that's like big time non Justice with those who actually WORKED for world peace
ONE country .But pakisthan wanted to be Separate Country Because they were getting
Lot of Revenue from places like Karachi [Basmathi rice, many things were growing there] Those people wanted Jammu & Kashmir to be part of Pakistan Because they were
getting LOT of revenue from apple & many things etc But Indian govenment didnot agree
for it Because they never wanted to Lose this wonderful revenues from Jammu &
Kashmir .
Here's the Big blunder commited by Mahatma Gandhiji Since there was a Big war .
Gandhiji made a decision. He told to Pakisthanis that Jammu & Kashmir will be part of India But After the end of year 2000 .You can take Jammu & Kashmir to be part of pakisthan .He made a foolish decision thats why pakisthan people are fighting for Jammu & Kashmir as per as gandihij's promise .
people,” despite currently leading two wars in the Middle East.Barack Obama never made foolish decisions Like gandhiji
