The town I live in

No comments on “The town I live in”

The Ramnagar town in which I live is very large. More than one lakh people live in it. The town has many grand buildings and historical monuments. Thousands of tourists visit place every year to see the historical ruins of the once-great town. But like the town, not for the historical buildings, but for its healthy climate. It is not a much crowed town. It is perhaps the cleanest town on our state.

A river divides town into parts. On the left of the river is the very old part of the town. On the right is what is called model town. Model town is a beauty. There is bridge across the river. The river is very wide. Its water is pure and fresh. Two canals, which water the dry plains of the state part, are fed by the river.

The old part of the town is rather dirty. It has dark and narrow streets, the houses are small and dirty. The shops are of the older type. Clouds of dust rise whenever a jeep a lorry passes through the streets. The streets are not always properly swept. There are only a few large houses in this part. These are not well ventilated too. There is a small post office in the town where only one two clerks. There is no separate telephone exchange office. There is no government school in the old part. Most of the rich people have left this part and built their own bungalows in model town. But the place still attracts visitors for all the improvement historical buildings are to be found in the old part of the town. The ruins of the city still exchange the imagination and wonder of foreign tourists.

Model town is a fine place. It is modern in all respects. There the shopping complex, hotels, institutes are lined with fine, shady trees. In civil lines we have the super market, the big bazaar and the eastern square; in these parts are situated some of the grandest of buildings, here one also finds large, modern bungalows. In some of these live the government officials; the others are occupied by rich lawyers, magistrates, corporate office employs and businessmen. In model town, we have a post office, corporate college, government school and junior collage and separate for girls and super specialty hospital and tow big parks. And good accommodation lodges are there. So the model town is indeed a nice place to live in.

Help

One day ---------------

In the morning--------

He is going to school.

Varun saw a blind man. He had lost his way. Varun went to him. And said, `` uncle, I can help you’’.

`` Yes! very good bay’’. The old man said. ``Take me home’’.

Varun held him by the hand and guided him home. The man was very grateful.

The principal was proud of Varun. He told al the children at school about Varun’s good deed. He told them to follow Varun’s example. He told them to help others.

  • When you think of others and try to help others with a smile, you are kind. Another word for helping others is Charity.

*Charity makes a person great. The person who serves others becomes popular. Everybody loves him. Selfishness makes a person small. A selfish person comes unpopular. Everybody dislikes him.

*A selfish boy cannot be loved by his classmates. Nobody likes him. You should be kind to others.

Service

*You can serve your neighbors and friends. You can even serve people you do not know. You can serve a sick man, a handicapped man and an old man.

* Some people go to hospitals once a week in rest time to visit the sick. They help them write letters to their dear ones. They buy medicines and food for them. Some visit old people in homes for the aged. They talk to them lovely. They read to them.

* If someone is charity, you can give him a glass of milk and fruit juice to drink. If some is hungry, you can give him food bred and fruit to eat.

* If some one needs clothes, you can give him clothes. If you have books that you do not read any more, give them to a poor child who has no books.

Help to birds and animals

*Keep a bowl of water in your garden. The birds will thank you, keep Chapaits and leftover vegetables aside. The cows will thank you.

*There are hundreds of ways of helping people and animals. Just keep your eyes and ears open.

Improvement in women

Development of women

Today women are stepping dearness in every sector. She works equal to him, no less in any. She is trying to develop her strength ``lady is powerful’’ in every where. She need compulsory reservation bill pass in parliament

Equality of men and women has been a subject of debate since ancient times. Recently we have started talking about the empowerment of women. The term ``empower’’ means ``to make able’’ or ``to go power to’’. It includes intellectual social, economic and political power. Women empowered in this sense can effectively particulate in section-making process. She can exercise the right of self-acquisition alongside men. Share in power in the most unacceptable fact both for men and women. Historically,

Man has dominated decision-making in all walks of life. Consequently, all the attempts at empowering women are half-heartedly made. The postponement of the women’s reservation bill in the Indian parliament is casein in hand.

The real question is that a woman needs to be empowered by a man. The answer to this question has to be `no’. Women have to be contented with whatever is given to her. The more desired process is self-empowerment. Another question is weather empowering women means weakening men. Strengthening somebody doesn’t necessarily mean weakening somebody else. Equality, coexistence, understanding and tolerance are the basic tenants of human society. The empowerment of women is a solution to human and social problems. It is not a threat to the existence and freedom of male population. Both men and women need to participate in the process of empowerment of women to establish equality.

Gone are those days when women are considered to be ``Queens of kitchen’’. Nowadays they are in every field of activity. As we know, women account for half of the world population. Naturally they fight for equal rights and opportunities with men. Women are now highly educated, enlightened and courageous. They are in a position to compete with men. They are fully justified their demands for equal status, right and treatment.

Women’s libs bought them emancipation from social bondage. They are given complete freedom in the choice of their professions. They have carved a niche for themselves in the field of medicine, nursing, teaching, politics and social work. It is not too much to say that a woman makes a better teacher than man. She has all the tact, patience perseverance necessary for a teacher or a doctor. The mother who rocks the cradle rules the world.
