We remember those people who have invited a large variety of machinery and instruments. These inventions have made our life very comfortable. Scientists, undoubtedly, were great people as they used their intelligence for the benefit of humanity and mankind.

But some people are remembered for their selfless dedications for service to humanity. They spent their entire life sharing and spreading the message of love, peace and joy. Such men are immortal. They gave their lives for the promotion of peace and prosperity.

Socrates was lived in 469 BC to 399 BC.

He was a great philosopher and popular teacher. He was born near Athens, the capital of Greece, about 2400 years ago. Not much is know about this parents and childhood. His main teachings were.

Be fearless and straightforward

Don’t believe superstitions

Don’t accept anything blindly

Believe in truth and nothing but truth

To know the truth apply your mind and think critically

People in those times were very superstitious. They thought diseases were caused by the anger of the gods. Socrates said that man’s strength lies in the power of reasoning and not in accepting things blindly. He said that the only way of discovering truth is by asking questions. This method was known as Socratic Method.

Socrates had many enemies as he challenged their sayings and thoughts. The ruling class thought that Socrates was misguiding the people. They accused him of being disrespectful to goods. They brought him to trail in the court. The judges asked him to stop his teachings. When the authorities failed in their effort to changes Socrates, they sentenced him to death by making him drink a cup of poison called `hemlock’. Socrates gladly drank the poison and while he was waiting for the poison to take effect, he continued talking to his followers.

Karl Marx period is 1818 to 1883.

Karl Marx was a German economist. He was a great political thinker and was one of the thief founders of communism.

So now everybody has this habit of packing up in large numbers and leaving out for calicut on Ragam pretext and going around kozhikode for the days that ragam is happening. Serious fest hunters-beware ,do not leave the campus under any circumstances long as you are looking forward to participating ,there's always something or other to do there.

Most good events have written prelims,so it is advisable to go for these prelims irrespective of whether or not you know anything about the event.

The events could be broadly split into 2 main categories,team events and the individual events.Having a steady set of team members for all events maybe good,however sometimes it is also great to go with people whom you dont know as you can get to know them a lot better during the course of event.

With most team events a good beginning is half the work done, and if you make it to the prelims there would be only 6 teams or so in the finals and most of the times the teams which look impressive on paper may not be great on stage .On stage its your creativity and spontaneity that matters in events like adzap,pot pourri etc.Then there are team events like street play,movie spoof etc which require a steady team and quite a lot of hard work and practise but the feeling of doing something creative together is completely different.

Getting to the prelims is a walk in the park if you get the correct balance of humour and seriousness in your answer sheet.Double meanings are potent weapons to be used in prelims etc however there is only a thin line between double meaning and vulgarity so tread carefully.

One unsaid and highly secretive rule about maikng through the prelims is once you make it through a single prelims and you look good on stage,your reputation starts to preceed you and you tend to breeze through most of other prelims.

Here again the events are the same as IIT but the standards are much more grounded.Ragam is definitely winnable eventwise and overall.

The campus is just right size for the number of people who turn up and night life is interesting with the mini canteen working almost overnight and the campus pretty much have alive and buzzing with activity always.

Messages are do the good. Don’t miss follow. It is useful to self.

Save food materials use what is necessary. Remember millions of people are below the poverty-line and are in the grip of starvation.

Save water and electricity power switch off all the lights and fans and close the taps, when not in use. Remember power saved is power generated.

Save petrol and other fuels use fuels only when you must. Remember these are irreversible sources of energy.

Grow more plants and neighborhood it keeps the environmental healthy. Show love on animals and birds.

Save yourself from deadly diseases remember that knowledge about these is their best prevention.

Never put off till tomorrow what can be done now and here. Remember tomorrow never comes.

Work is worship remember hard work is the best investment and key to success.

Respect your elders remember by humility you rise above the average.

Be good and do best till it becomes a habit.

Have faith in almighty remember the whole life-cycle is controlled by him in a way best for the mankind as a whole.

Keep the following order in all your doings country, community, family and self.

Be healthy remember a sound mind in a sound body is above wealth.

Obey traffic rules these are for your own safety and easy going.

Respect all religions equally the ultimate aim is global brotherhood.

Respect the national flag and anthem it unites and strengthens the nation and must for every citizen.

These are all valuable. These are the useful to people; Follow all these messages good to the nation.

I must say this
before I go on,
telling the truth
is never easy, but
for all my fans to see

and for me to obey

Though myself surgery
is not complete,
here I go

though my body has grown,

and spirit surfed high,

there are many viruses immaturity,

I need to eradicate,

this is why I undergo self-penance

by the pen,

and be ostracised into full maturity

I always had this
laziness in me,
laziness so extreme
that it affected me
greatly sometimes,
these two revelations
are the exact reasons
why I feel bad about myself;

I was in class,
it was english class,
third term, 2004, high school,
I was a sophomore then,
one of the most terrible things
happened to me;

I wanted to go used the restroom,
I was extremely pressed,
but what I was about to
hear from the teacher was
so important,
foolishly convicted to my education
than the yearnings of my own body,
I sat there,
sweating inside

At the last minute,
where I realised there was no
more control,
I asked the teacher to
excuse me,
she let me go,
I was about to sit on the toilet seat,
to late...
faeces in my pants,
that was a massive disaster,
I took off my pants inside
and wore my shorts,
without any boxer,
I flushed them deep into the system,
it had been a stomach problem
for long,
but I didn't tell my parents,
I kept it to myself,
and it kept getting worse

Second disaster,
for me, getting up from
bed to go pee,
was a problem,
I would be so soaked in my sleep
that I didn't even feel
when urine was all over my pants,
straight from childhood,
I am not the kind of person
who likes to share things
with my parents,
so I kept it to myself,
after dealing with the problem
my own way,
not drinking water, right before
I sleep...from the time
when I was 11,
the time this horror left me,

On the 26th of November, 2009
the terror returns,
I know I shall be
the object of mockery
after this,
but the truth must be told,
though I have signed
my social death warrant.
