Professor Mathur behaves strangely
One day, Professor Pradeep Mathur was delivering lecture on evolution of human society in anthropology class. There was pin drop silence in his class. He was a very learned and talented professor and no student would like to miss any of his lecture. He was very popular in his college students. Some students had opted for anthropology as a subject just because of his popularity. He was a workaholic. He was never seen expressing interest in anything but his subject.
During his lecture, suddenly his voice changed and he shouted- Sinha- Nobody on earth can bribe or issue me threat. Don't dare to come again." His voice and tone changed. Students were very astonished at his behavior. Professor Mathur fainted and fell to ground. He was taken to Hospital. He regained conscience. He could not explain his strange behavior. Rather he remembered nothing.
A few days later Professor Mathur again uttered some irrelevant things but nobody could make head or heel. He fainted. But he regained conscience. Doctors could not diagnose. His such strange behavior was baffling college authorities. A famous psychiatrist minutely examined him but could find nothing wrong with him.
Professor Nathur's strange behavior was becoming more and more critical. He was taking less interest in teaching. Most of the time, he would either sit idle in semi conscious condition. One day, a student asked- Sir, i want to ask a question?
Professor Mathur said- why. Are you a press correspondent? You are conspiring. How I am here.
The student said - Sir, you are here to teach anthropology.
But the professor was in some other world. He shouted- No. I am Suresh Saxena- public prosecutor. You are Sinha's man. He will not be spared.
Professor Mathur had to be escorted to his residence. Now he could not even sleep well. He would get nightmares He often felt that somebody was stabbing him. Then utter dark.
The psychiatrist advised him to take a break from his college and go to some other place. Change of place might help in his recovery.

Professor Mathur goes to Patna
Professor Mathur had totally lost his identity. It appeared that he was someone else. But who that someone else was. This was a mystery. He was himself perplexed. He forgot all about anthropology and college. He believed that he was a public prosecutor and had been kidnapped and being brainwashed by one and all by treating him a a professor of anthropology. But he had not even faintest idea of place to which he belonged.
He accepted the advice to take leave from college and go for visiting various places. Really, he felt that he was not a professor at all and grant of leave to him was also fake and meaningless. He went to Shimla, Kashmir and many other places. At Simla, he had a feeling that he had come previously to the place with family. He even recognized a hotel and told the manager that he remembered having visited there. But the manager said- sir, Many come here daily. Possibly you would have also come her." During his tour, he also went to Patna. The city of Patna appeared very familiar to him. He walked to a street and rang door bell of a bungalow. A servant came out and said- Whom do you want to see sir."
Now Professor Mathur was a bit normal. He understood that he was known only as Professor Mathur though this was not his true identity. He said- Do you know Sures Saxena, Public prosecutor.
The servant was in tears. He said- "He is no more. How do you know him."
Mathur said- I have come from Mathura. A distant cousin of his lives there."
The servant took him to the drawing room. He said- Suresh Saxena was a very honest and capable public prosecutor. Six months ago, he was killed by one Bablu Sinha, a convicted criminal, who escaped from jaill. Saxena Saheb had succeeded him to get him life imprisonment on allegation of rape and murder. This he did in spite of tremendous political pressure and offer of bribe.
Mathur asked him- where is his family?
The servant told him that Suresh Saxena's father shri Rahul Saxena had just gone for a walk. But his widowed daugther in law was in the house. Suresh recognized Rahul Saxena, when he entered. Rahul was in fact his own father but now he was not Suresh saxena but Prof Mathur. Pradeep mathur was now behaving very tactfully. Mr. Rahul Saxena talked in detail how his son was killed. He lamented- Alas. My son were not so honest and sincere. He could not move with time.
Pradeep Mathur said in emotion charged voice- Papa, Jo Jalim se dar jaye voh zinda insaan nahin hai. Jo toofanon se takraye vohi zindagai ka haq dar hai (One who fears the tyrant is no human. He is the real human who faces the storm.)
Rahul was astonished to hear- These are Suresh's words coming from your mouth.
Pradeep replied- Yes Papa. I am your Suresh. I have traveled a lot not only from place to place but one human body to another. Now i remember everything. I know who had killed Suresh- I mean me.
Rashmi Saxena widow of late Suresh Saxena came with tea and biscuits. Now Mathur burst in tears and passionately hugged her- Rashi- How I missed you so long!"
Surprisingly, Rashmi also responded saying- "My Suru- Where have you been all the time?"
This was true love. Now Rahul also saw the semblance between Suresh and Pradeep Mathur. No confusion.
Suddenly, Pradeep Mathur asked: How is Little Pushpa? where is she?
Pushpa, the little daughter of Saxena entered the room. Pradeep was overjoyed. He showerd kisses on her. He said weeping- My littlle doll.
This was a very happy reunion. Professor Mathur was now just Pradeep and not professor. He sent his letter of resignation to his college. He gave up his role as professor of anthropology completely.
But nobody would accept that in fact he was Suresh Saxena and a lawyer. So, he married Rashmi for the sake of public relations.
Pradeep Mathur got admission in a law college and very quickly got the law degree and started practising as an advocate.
Pradeep Mathur(now advocate) met some police officers and helped them probe in murder case of Suresh Saxena. He recalled the exact murder event and disclosed all facts to police. Some in police were his good friends. They also now understood that Pradeep was in fact the deceased public prosecutor but this could not be official. The murder case was solved and prosecution of the offenders began in district and Sessions court. Pradeep was appointed as public prosecutor. He succeded in securing death sentence to his own murderers.
Pradeep lives happily with his family.
