God has created man. Every person is equal before him. It is man who has made divisions between man and man, based on class, color and creed. People live in different continents. Some are fair, while others are dark. Some speak English, while others use different languages. Some learned and ignorant –all these are divisions made by man. But everyone is equal before God.
Irrespective of all the divisions and differences, every human being is a wonderful creation of God. God loves him. God respects him. God has a special place for him. When God does so, we are all the more bound to respect and love all his creations.
Respect for does not mean we should just keep them at a distance. We should not harm them. We should not speak ill of them. Respect for others also means that we realize their needs and try to reach out to them whatever way we can. If they are hungry, we should give them food. If they are thirsty, we should give them water. If they have no job, we should d find some work for them. If they are sick, we should get them proper treatment. Their needs are many. We should help them whatever way we can.
Mother Teresa left the comforts of her convent to work among the poor. The first person she picked up from the streets was a Hindu. She took him to her place and looked after him like her own. There were Hindus, Muslims and Christians among those she cared. She took care of them with love. She respected them. She saw God in each one of them.
*all distinctions based on caste, creed, color, language or class should be removed from our midst. Learn to love and respect every human being. Every person is a temple that God has built for himself.
