Almost every religion teaches us "Suicide is a sin." This is an extreme act of cowardice. It takes courage to live and face the difficulties of life. But every day you could hear about many sad stories of suicide on the news. Every day there is a news about a student who committed suicide because he got low marks in an exam or someone got dumped by their lover so he committed suicide. Someone suffered a loss in the business and chose to embraced death than face his failures. After hearing such news the question that arises in our mind is whether a failure at some point in life is so overwhelming that people decide to take the decision to commit suicide?
Life is a journey that is paved with success and failures. Both forms an intrinsic part of our life experiences because both success and failure teaches us important life lessons. No man ever succeeded in life without swallowing the bitter pill of failure. Failure makes success so much sweeter.
Failure is a test of our persistence and determination. We should not brood over our failures, instead learn your lessons and move on. But many people have a completely different perspective about failure. They think a temporary failure is a permanent defeat. And filled with such despairing thoughts they decide to commit suicide. Many times the educated young people, who do not get the desired job or career, fall into despair and some of them commit suicide or attempt to do it.
Why don’t these people realize the fact that getting a good job is not the ultimate goal of life? If you don’t get a job, why not start your own business and make it on your own? Instead of choosing the easy way out why not struggle and succeed in life? A successful businessman once said that, I didn’t get the things that I dreamed, but what I got were the things that I never dreamed to be possible.
Many times in life we get the things that we never dared to imagine. The only thing that is truly important is to constantly try and never lose hope. Sooner or later you will get the results. Many times in life we do not get expected success, but it should not be a reason to stop trying, instead we should persist even harder with an iron will to succeed.
Do you know that Thomas Edison, the first person in the world to invent a light bulb, failed more than five hundred times before he was able to develop a proper working model? Many fellow scientists ridiculed him for failing to make a light bulb even after more than five hundred tries. Thomas Edison replied that I did not fail five hundred times; instead I learned that there were more than five hundred ways in which a bulb could not be made.
The only difference between success and failure is your mentality. If you think like a winner and take every failure along the way as another stepping stone to achieve your goals then you will definitely conquer your dreams. If you learn to find your way to success during the difficult situations then you will never fail in life.
The results are important, but even more important are the efforts that you made to achieve those results. Keep persisting with determination and strong will and in the end you will definitely succeed. Success comes to those who try hard and never give up.
