Sir, I would like to give a suggestion for karma point.
Add one more feature in the homepage of the boddunan based on karma points in two column:
1. Overall Karma Points
2. Total karma points for the month
and start a prize contest that the user having top karma points
for the month will get cash credit assign by you and also open to all members to give karma points if they like the reply to their question given by any member.This feature should be available to only forum thread creator.It will give the best result and no spamming can happen to get more karma points.
Hope,this will increase the participation of the users and also it will improve the quality of the response.
Suggession is nice but I think current system is ok for karma point because its only one feature which is without any prize and point so its should be fare all time.if point put then member may misuse it.
I agree with the suggestion. The forum thread creator should be authorised to choose best post for reward. In case of his not choosing a winner, members other than those who posted in the same thread may be involved in selection of best post. The post chosen by most members will be winner. This would be like 'best answer' in Yahoo. This should not be related to Karma points for which present system is okay.
