I agree totally with the Kerala Chief minister. The entire congress includng Rajiv gandhi, Sanjay gandhi and Indira gandhi are responsible for atrocities at some time or the other- emergency period, Sikh massacre and other events.

The massacre of innocent Sikhs was engineered by the Congress goons and our late Prime Minister had a big hand in it.

Sanjay Gandhi was better than Rajiv his contribution includes:-
Sikh massacre
Bhopal Gas
Bofors
Lanka mis adventure

one of the worst PM of india. he only became PM coz of sympathy votes due to indira's death.

I won't go as far as calling him as the worst because my list may contain one too many!

Chinmoy- Congress is one family party. BJP is better howsoever communal may be. BJP at least speaks for HINDUS. Congress has only one family in view. emergency was proclaimed only for personal power of Indira Gandhi and atrocities committed against minorities and others. Turkman gate episode may be recalled. Rajeev gandhi and his goons killed many sikhs. If congress is cobra, BJP is python.

I agree with you Gulshan, where when confronted by a python you at least know where yu stand but with a cobra you cannot predict how and when it may strike!!

@Sajeetharan, Sanjay Gandhi was no better than Rajiv and vice versa!! Where atrocities are concerned he was an equal to Rajiv!! Do you know that during the Emergency, he was the one who ordered and ruthlessly engineered the sterilisation of hundreds of young men were not even married in the name of population control!!

I think history would judge these two persons on their controversial roles.Indira Gandhi suffered from megalomania and she was known to be distrustful of everyone who surrounded her.As a result her search for a successor never went beyond her two sons.

Chinmoy- You have highlighted very important characteristics of Indira gandhi. she distrusted everyone and had misconceived suspicion. A ex bureaucrat narrated the episode of Indira Gandhi suspecting that Chaudharai Charan singh was performing Maran Yagna to kill Jawahar Lal Nehru, then P.M. Dharam vir stated that it would be no use telling that this was a mere superstition and useless suspicious. He just moved about for a few days and then told Indira Gandhi that a Yagna of the type needs that there be no water between the prey (Pt Nehru) and venue of Yajna. As Jamuna river was in between, there could be no such Yajna. That is how the foolish suspecting notorious woman Indira Gandhi was pacified. Many would have noticed her wearing Rudraksh garland.

Thanks Gulshan! I think her weaknesses for sandhus and holy babas too are well-known and Dhirendra Brahmachari was rumoured to be one one of the persons who advised her to clamp emergengy.

Chinmoy- You have done well to highlight Dhirendra Brahamachari who was likened to Rasputin in Czarist Russia. The linkage of Indira gandhi to Sadhus also indicates that the believers in Sadhus are more selfish, cruel and materialistic than the non believers.
