Liking post is feature of site, it is other thing that some are misusing it.

I think there should be an option to disable email alerts for such activity... Other than that you can not force a person not to appreciate your thoughts n comments... Specially when the sites gives a point for that too. :)

Yes. One can like other member's thread. There is nothing wrong.  Over using  should be avoided. There should be an obvious reason for your liking.

Lol, you can't change some people who have become addicted to post and like no matter what...when you can't change them join them , start liking each and every post, .

I agree. Too much of any thing including 'like' is bad. Like when you feel some post extra ordinary. 

If a member is convinced with other member's response and agrees with the other member's point of view, one can definitely click on  Like. Not just  to add a point

I love being grumpy or in cases rant even for small things but I promise to use this feature to be at top of the leader board. To heck with ethics if someone feels it is bad for me.

I have hereby decided to like all posts on my threads since I have the right to do so, so why not make members happy by liking their posts
