    Actually those were his devotees who considered themselves to be his queens. There were many more your info is wrong. Even some men used to call themselves his BHAKTAN, now i am sure you would invent another word for them. You are ... :P

    Mahabharata is an epic. There are many unbelievable contents in that. There is no need to bother about these matters. Lord Krishna is considered incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is worshiped as God. We cannot discuss anything that may hurt sentiments of devotees.

    I am not sure if Lord Krishna has only 16k devotees as this must be in millions but I am talking about those women like Mirabai, Radha etc who considered themselves his wives.

    Arjun, you are wrong. 16k queens are not his wives. All are devotes. like meera. Most of the devotes feel themselves as wife of lord krishna. Actually they are great devotes of him (PARAM BHAKT) You know what, Radha also a great devote of him.

    The sixteen thousand wives were the women who got homeless because of their husband's defeat/ death in war. Krishna just accepted these women and provided them shelter.

    26 thousand women were trapped and homeless and lord krishna rescued them . Since then those 16 thousand women considered as devotee of lord krishna..
    Lord Krishna always called himself as Brahmachari.

    In Mahabharatha, it's told he has married two woman :) Rukhmini and jaambavathi. I think Satyabhama also, I don't know its story.

    About Radha.....
    How many of you know there is no Radha in great epic Mahabharatha.
    It's Jayadev's Geetha Govindham that gave birth to 'Radha' and romantic life of Kannan before he goes to Madhura.
