Presently, lot of garbage is visible throughout Agra. Apart from ugly spectacle, this is health hazard. Now action is being taken to collect garbage from doorstep of citizens. This is a welcome step.
The Agra Municipal Corporation has collaborated to operate a network to lift and transfer municipal waste and domestic garbage and process it into an alternative energy source.

In Andhra, the garbage would be collected from the citizens doorsteps. Surprising to know that this method is not followed in some states...
An agreement between the corporation, Ultra Urban Infrateck Ltd and Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam has been signed. The Kuberpur solid waste management plant will become functional soon,’ Municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey told IANS.
