Apple reported record profits and revenue Monday as sales of its iPhones and Macs rose sharply, and consumers snapped up more than four million iPads.

This was expected. MOre you love your iPhone and iPod more money apple will get :) . In fact they are making money on every app that you purchase from apple store (Note: apps are developed by third party vendors and developers from which apple will get share as far as my knowledge goes.)
