Sanjeev Mittal, ticketing head of the Commonwealth Games, was sacked after a series of complaints in ticket sales, an Organising Committee official said Sunday.

Mittal has been replaced by Monica Jolly.

'The decision was taken Saturday by the Organising Committee after complaints of irregularities in the ticket sales surfaced,' the official said.

Commonwealth Games Federation chief Michael Fennell has ordered an enquiry into the irregularities.

Spectators were told that tickets of many events were sold out while the stadiums remained half empty.

Two people, including a woman, were arrested in the capital Saturday on charges of illegally selling Games tickets.

It is shocking to hear that the common wealth games tickets are sold in black. The same trend of selling cinema tickets is followed here too.
This is something we must be ashamed of!One more black sheep!!
It is surprising to see this but i couldnt understand why people are so obsessed?
This is really shameful....
In India can't even a single sport go without black marketing?
Either they make money in black or they make money bidding. What to say? :( :(
